A fantastic way to improve iCal in Mac

Fantastical enhances iCal by allowing you to quickly and easily create new events using natural language input. You can also quickly locate the dates you’re looking for via Fantastical’s handy menu calendar, view your upcoming events in a convenient list, and search for past and upcoming events.

Following are the attractive features of Fantastical :.

1. Events with locations

Fantastical will automatically look for locations in the sentences you enter. For example, ” Trip at Mount Abu with friends” will consider “Mount Abu” as the location for the event.

2. Inviting people to events

Fantastical will search your Address Book when it looks like you’re trying to invite someone to an event. For example, typing “Lunch with Pooja tomorrow” will highlight Pooja, allowing you to quickly invite Pooja to the event.

User would also be able to add email id of anyone, he/she want to invite by adding email id in the field of “add invites”.

3. Find and manage your events

From the calendar, you can browse back and forth through months and find the date you’re looking for. Today is indicated by a red circle. On mouse over a date on the calendar opens a tooltip, which will display information about that date’s events.

The event list under the calendar organizes your events in a very nice format. All-day events are displayed in a different color . Timed events will be listed next to a dot . Events that have passed will darken, letting you focus on your upcoming events.

You can even edit and delete your events. Just click to select your event and then click the Edit button.

4.Anchor mode

Click the anchor button at the bottom-left corner of Fantastical to keep Fantastical open when you switch to a different application. Click the anchor again to disable this mode. You can also use the shortcut “command-control-A” to activate this mode.

5.Search

Click the search field in the upper-right to search. Once you are in search mode, simply enter information about the event you are looking for and Fantastical will return the results.

Past events appear dimmed, allowing you to quickly determine whether an event has already occurred. Click an event and that event’s details will be displayed.
