Sometimes we need to show our secondary window to cover the whole screen. Many of us are not aware of two new features available in IE .These new features control the newly opened window in an entirely new way.
Opening PopUp Window in FullScreen Mode :
Using window.open() method, we can set the width/height,location ,toolbars etc programatically . Well along with all these features there is a new feature called “fullscreen” .With this feature the window.open() method opens a new window in full screen mode . Use the syntax below to implement the “fullscreen” feature.
One more new feature in IE that is very similar to “fullscreen” feature described above is “channelmode” . This is also similar to the fullscreen mode but this one is more user friendly as the title bar is also avaiable in this mode . So the user can close the window by click on the “X” button . But in the fullscreen mode there is no facility to close the window . So the
user has to use “ALT F4 ” to close the window . Use the syntax given below to implement the “channelmode” feature.
